Why do some men have an aversion to shaving?

I suppose some men feel it enhances their physical features. But they're altogether unnecessary, and the upkeep is tedious at best.

I prefer to go without. But those who do wear them seem to enjoy them in any manner of maintenance. I've seen plenty, and gather you have as well.

If I have, I don't think I've ever bothered to keep count.

My father would shave before church services. He said it was more respectable.

It would be an odd thing to keep count of.

I suppose everyone has their own reasons for anything that they do.
