Why do some men have an aversion to shaving?

so it's the sort of argument that the opinions of others is likely to add fuel to an already endless fire.

I don't necessarily consider the opinions to be answers.

They're something to sift through.

In hindsight it's all a bit silly.

I think all this talk of clothes and putting on airs is more trouble than it's worth.

I believe most of these types of arguments are.

On that, I am inclined to agree. Especially if the end result will always be the violence that we've witnessed.

There seem to be ways to avoid violence. Hopefully routes with more success.

I am not. I taught a great number of young men the arts of war in my day, and am skilled in the matter myself.

At the time, yes. The cultural norms that prevailed highlighted only men with the arts of war.

Did things change with time?

Yes, by and large.
