Right, question.
Actually two.
First: Imagine you're being chased for a long time. You're unarmed, and yer injured. About to keel over. You can only carry one thing as you're running: a cell phone [a pause, and a rustle - he's waving his hand] or whatever you people use to communicate; or some food.
Which one do you take, and why?
Second question: who here can deal with high tech gadgets? I got a thing that needs checking before we head to the next mission.

And what would you do if we were?
[A short pause as he frowns at that last sentence] What guard?
no subject
Monitored? Perhaps the same as I do now. Be on my guard.
It's difficult to explain over the BCE without going into details. I can only say my husband's army was defeated and when one of the commanders of the enemy met with my family, they ordered us to return home and would escort us there. I imagine they had specific orders, if I tried to escape.
no subject
Even as you're being chased down? Isn't that monitoring all the same?
[He pauses as she explains, mulls over the story. It sounds too old-timey, but then again, hey, they're time traveling. ] Who was your husband?
no subject
When you are being chased, you can't afford to lose your sense. Every action counts.
He was here briefly but disappeared in Gallipoli. Robb Stark.
no subject
Don't think I've met him. He had an army?
no subject
He did once. I don't know what became of it after his death.
no subject
Did you get recruited by COST along the way or was this before?
no subject
I was recruited after he died. It was a way to leave my situation and feel useful. I should have realized how unprepared I would be. Thank you for teaching me to defend myself.
no subject
SiriMicrosoft SAM, there's something about that sentence that conveys a certain tone.] You sound like you disagree.[He shifts, there's a slight rustle] So hold on. He died, you were recruited, and you found him again? [It's... plausible, with the time travel and the like, but he can't still help but feel that's kind of messed up.]
no subject
I did. He came shortly after I did. I didn't know that he would be here., but COST must have recruited him before he died.
no subject
[That is messed up. His voice goes quiet, even if it carries easily.] Did ya tell him?
no subject
[There was so much more to it, but it wasn't something she felt ready to share at this early stage of their relationship.]
Tell him what?

[Is his voice getting quiet, even soft? Nope. Not at all. It's only your imagination, Jeyne.
There's a pause, as he mulls over.]
What do you think of the practices we had so far? Am I boring you, yet?
no subject
[There's a gentleness in her tone, genuine and assertive.]
The training you mean? They're...very difficult. Brutal. Training for Gallipoli started shortly after I arrived, it was the first thing I experienced. Not much of a welcome.
