My daddy always told me this world was a hard one to survive in. I'm not sure that he ever imagined it to this extent, but sometimes I can hear him saying those words so clearly in the back of my head.

Already in this brief time here I find myself so... different. I imagine we've all been tested in our own way. It certainly takes a toll even if the results are successful. At times it's as if I need an anchor to weigh me down.

Drawing has...always been a relaxing exercise for me. Lately it's hard to get some rather unpleasant images out of my head. Do you all have someone that you fight for? A place? Names might not be the wisest to drop here, but it'd boost my spirits to hear about them even in the vaguest sort of sense.

Thank you. I'd... be fine staying, truthfully. There's not much left of my home.

Do you have something to look forward to returning to?

The people that I know. Some of them are here but not all of them.

I hope you are reunited with everyone dear to you someday. Hopefully not in a place where you need to be concerned for them.

I do. I'm very glad he's here with me. It would be difficult to get on otherwise.

I'm glad that you have someone. And perhaps others you've met here too?

Yes. Plenty. I'm very fortunate in that respect.

I'll always make sure they're safe.
