I would like to point out that the smell of burning hair is, quite frankly, awful. Not recommended.

I don't disagree. Burnt flesh is far less appealing, if I'm to be frank. Dragon flame solves both issues rather nicely.

The Iron Throne is said to be made of a thousand swords. Aegon the Conqueror and his two sister-wives rode dragons into battle frequently. Those swords were surrendered by their vanquished enemies, and Aegon's dragon, Balerion the Black Dread, heated them into the throne the King or Queen of the Seven Kingdoms sits upon with his firey breath.
