Now that we're more accounted for– has anyone seen a man by the name of Eames? He's a little scruffy, looks like at any minute he'll either schmooze you or pick your pockets. Attempting to message him just ends in bounced replies.

The way I see it, if we are to eventually return to our original point in time
Nobody will notice that we didn't exist for a time

I wouldn't know, previously Lup was sent on another mission during our last runs of Gallipoli. She hasn't returned back to BASE.

It's complicated. To put it simply, we're connected through a contract, and even if we were in two separate locations, we would still be able to speak with each other.

As of right now, that connection has been completely severed.

Considering everything, COST does seem to bend the rules of perceived reality. Never thought I'd encounter magic for real but here it's so normal.

How did you meet?

We're in a similar career field. I was putting together a team and needed someone of his skillset.

Didn't get along at all at first.

It turned out well I assume.

That first job we ran ended in disaster, but not his fault.

We get on for the most part.

I'm glad for that. You'll see him again someday, here or when our mission is complete.

Someone else is missing as well? I'm sorry to hear that. What does the message say when it returns to you? It might tell you if he is simply missing or something else.

Back home, he'd sometimes go off the radar, but this feels different in some way.

The message just says the recipient could not be reached, the line may be disconnected.

When did you see him last?

It might. It's possible he was sent home instead of being missing. I think that happens more than someone going MIA. There is no harm in searching though. Would he go off base out into the wilderness? We could try and track him?

As much as it's...disappointing that he could've been sent back, that's a better possibility. The only time I've known him to get that adventurous is when there's a gambling house nearby. He's not really one for emulating Indiana Jones and tramping through the wilderness.

Is Indiana Jones a friend of yours?

So long as he isn't facing something terrible when he returns home. This would at least spare him from going through another mission. Have you asked anyone else? The Commander or Sergeant? They might know something more.

No, he's...never mind the Indiana Jones thing.

Doesn't seem like anyone saw him injured or anything. If he got sent home, I guess he doesn't have anything too terrible going on that would be greeting him.

He is lucky then. For some, coming here is escaping a worse fate at home. There is a chance that he could return.

I am sorry you lost your friend though. Even if it is temporary, it's difficult to lose someone you care about. How are you faring?

Eames has certainly gotten himself into some deep shit before, but generally he's good at getting out of it as well.
