[*This is certainly the group Dany sent her last locked network post out to, but it can also include anyone whose player thinks they'd be included. I tried to make a list and ultimately didn't want to accidentally omit anyone. If there's reason to think either of them would consider your character friendly or a friend, your character got this.
Also, this entire post isn't really on any specific timeline; could be at any point in the last couple of weeks.]
They have their legends here of the Watcher and the Hunter. What do you know of them?
Has anyone mentioned the King Killer?

If I fall in the arena, look after STORMBORN. And keep her from retaliating, if you can.

[ Welcome to hell, Jon. ]
but naturally, i have been victorious. the queen herself wishes to meet with me. it seems power truly does attract power here.

I'd expect nothing less from you. [Which part of what Mordred has said is he referring to? That's intentional ambiguity on his part.] What do you plan to say to the Queen? She'll like your spirit, of that I'm sure.
no subject
she was impressed by my fighting style, so perhaps ill challenge her. it sure sounds like she might be interested in that.
[ "I so look forward to seeing what else makes you move as strikingly."
Guess what Mordred managed to completely misinterpret. ]

Look sharp, there. She didn't get to be Queen and stay Queen by being easy to win against. What will we do if you beat her?
Don't think the Araneans will accept someone who isn't one of their own as their ruler. Are you ready to fight all of them?
[... Probably. Probably, Mordred is.]

[ Sure, take on the entire planet. Nevermind that she just barely won her major arena fight. ]
but my only interest is in ruling britain. perhaps my master could take the throne here. [ Ahahahahaha. ] or your woman. shes already a queen, right?
[ The 'your woman' part is an insult. The suggestion that Dany could handle being queen here is... almost a compliment. ]
no subject
She's already a queen, but I don't think she'd want to take the throne here. She misses her children, and she'd need them to enforce her rule in a place like this. The dragons are bigger than any Aranean.
I don't think the Araneans would like her any better — she has no fondness for enslavement. Anyway, we have kingdoms to rule at home — mine and hers. Ours.
[NOT BRITAIN.]

[ SORRY... RYUJI... ]
anyway, i have no particular interest in killing the queen. any form of entertainment will be good enough. but ill be interested in seeing how she measures up to my father.

What would your father have thought of her?
[He knows what his would have thought... but just now, he doesn't feel like inviting Mordred to dismiss his father's memory.]
no subject
who knows? but no doubt he would have chosen what was best for our homeland in dealing with her. [ The king saw only what was needed, and everything else might as well not exist. ] ill do whatever benefits me the most. thats the difference between us.
no subject
Beyond that, though, does a king always do what benefits him the most? Or is the benefit in serving the people — doing what's best for them?
no subject
but i am not him. [ Catch her doing the right thing 90% of the time anyway, though. ] i do what i wish, whatever the consequences. do not attempt to persuade me otherwise.

[Says the man who was quite ready to sacrifice himself to an army of dead men and their masters if it meant a chance for the survival of as many of the living as possible. Now -- he's willing to fight, but less resigned to dying.
That goes to why he spoke of his concern for Daenerys today to begin with. This all means the most if they both survive it.]
I don't think there would be much point in trying to convince you to do something you knew for sure you didn't want to do, but only you can decide what that is.

my father was all of those things. and yet the people followed me, because i seemed more human to them. in that case, they have no right to complain if i act as selfishly as they did. livestock have no business dictating the choices of kings.
no subject
But what good is a king if there's no one to follow him? Just a man standing around crowing about how great he is, or not even that.
People aren't livestock. They're people. But there's something to be said for the fact that they followed you. They must have seen something in you, at least for a while.
no subject
thats why humans are mere livestock. offer them a piece of meat, and theyll blindly forget about their old master in a heartbeat. thousands died because of me, and i crushed thousands more without care. but even so, i wont go out of my way to kill them. thats the only reason im here at all.
[not ever here]
She's just going to adopt you one day SERIOUSLY. ]
